In 1978, at the 32nd ASGCA Annual Meeting in Carefree, Ariz., most members had switched over to the "Ross" tartan chosen by Past President Larry Packard, ASGCA and Executive Secretary Emeritus Paul Fullmer in 1974. The material was selected during the pair’s visit to Marshall Field’s in Chicago, and is milled only once a year in Scotland.
