ASGCA Releases 2005/2006 Remodeling University Schedule

The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) has released the 2005/2006 schedule of its highly-acclaimed Remodeling University seminar series. The one-day symposium, created to educate golf course decision-makers about the basics of golf course remodeling, provides information on the entire remodeling process—from planning through grow-in—and addresses budgeting, scheduling and other important issues.

According to ASGCA President Tom Marzolf, Remodeling University is a must for anyone seeking to understand the basics of the remodeling process. “Whether it’s keeping up with technology, routine maintenance or the competition, most courses will consider a remodeling project at some point. And Remodeling University is an excellent introduction to the issues these courses can expect to encounter,” he explains, adding that the seminars are open to decision-makers from all types of courses—private, daily fee, municipal and resort.

Each “Short Course to a Better Course” will be hosted by an experienced panel of ASGCA architects. The dates and speakers include:

Also scheduled are three Remodeling University sessions to be presented at the 2006 Golf Industry Show, February 8 – 11, 2006, in New Orleans, La. These sessions will be customized for specific audiences: one for superintendents and other decision-makers as an introduction, one for superintendents who have some remodeling experience or exposure, and a third for golf course owners and managers.
